Lily Sandlin L.Ac.

Lily (Susan) Sandlin is licensed in Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine. She graduated from the respected Chicago area Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in 2001 and has practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine for over 20 years. Additionally, she holds National Board Certification in Acupuncture. Lily was one of the pioneering practitioners to introduce Eastern Medicine to Richmond, VA. She founded and directed her practice, West End Eastern Medicine, there for over 15 years.

 

Prior to becoming a practitioner of Eastern Medicine, Lily was a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and is adept in numerous bodywork modalities. Her deep understanding of the musculoskeletal system, awareness of kinesiology, and unique hands-on style inform her acupuncture treatments.  Many patients comment on her intuition and ability to pinpoint the source of pain. A certified Level 111 Reiki Practitioner, she enhances her treatments with Reiki.

 

Lily is committed to Continuing Education and has studied Functional Medicine, nutrition, gut health and aromatherapy. She combines her training in Functional Medicine with Eastern Medicine and is well-versed in numerous nutrition systems both ancient and modern. A Wellness Educator, Lily enjoys demystifying the principles of Eastern Medicine and has lectured in numerous settings. She was a Clinic Supervisor at the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

 

Seasoned in instructing Yoga and Meditation, Lily is Nationally Certified Yoga Instructor and is a Yoga Educator through Yoga Alliance. She specializes in teaching meridian-based Yin Yoga and often invites her patients to take a deep breath, have compassion for themselves and find the moment. In addition, Lily is Certified in Hospice Acupuncture, is a member of the National Association of Acupuncture for Hospice and Palliative Care and is a Certified End of Life Doula.

 

Trauma-informed and strength-based, Lily is deeply commitment to supporting her patients’ quality of life and holding space for their healing. In her free time, she can be found hiking, taking photos and exploring the Tucson area.
