Acupuncture Helps Restore Smell Post COVID

Recent Studies and studies did even before the existence of COVID show that Acupuncture has been to have a positive effect on anosmia. (The loss of smell is called anosmia in medical terms.)


A new study says 700,000 to 1.6 million people in the United States who got COVID-19 may have lost their sense of smell for 6 months or longer. [courtesy of webmd.com]


The results of one of the studies indicated that acupuncture has a positive effect on olfactory function in patients with postinfectious smell loss We found a significant improvement in general olfactory performance as well as an improvement in odor discrimination with acupuncture compared to sham treatment.
