What is Plantar Fasciitis?
This is a disorder of the thick connective tissue which supports the arch on the bottom of the foot, it runs from the heel bone forward to the bones lying between the tow bones and the bones of the mid foot. Inflammation of this tissue can cause tenderness and pain that is make worse by stepping on the heel.
What is Sciatica Pain?
Sciatica refers to pain that radiates along the sciatic nerve and is typically felt in the buttocks, down the back of the leg and possibly the foot. Sciatica is typically caused by conditions including herniated disc, degenerative disc disease and lumbar spinal stenosis. The sciatic nerve runs from the lower part of the spinal cord, down the back of the leg to the foot. Injury to or pressure on the sciatic nerve can cause sharp or burning pain that radiates from the lower back or hip, possibly following the path of the sciatic nerve to the foot.
