MRI Study Shows Acupuncture Effective for Bell’s Palsy

For those of us that have seen first-hand how well acupuncture works for patient’s with Bell’s Palsy this study is no surprise to us.


A recent study done by researchers at the Anhui Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine conducted an fMRI study analyzing the effects of acupuncture for the treatment of Bell’s palsy. Researchers conclude that acupuncture increases functional connectivity within the sensorimotor cortex and promotes brain reorganization in Bell’s palsy patients.
