Provider Spotlight - Esmeralda Mustain

We are excited to highlight our incredible OM Provider Assistant, Esmeralda Mustain! Esmeralda offers Tuina, Cupping and Gua Sha for patients here at Jade Star.

Esmeralda is a kind person who really cares about other human and alive beings. She listens to what the body needs to find its own balance and she brings her energetic training to help facilitate every single healing process.

Esmeralda has a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in Albuquerque, NM. She accomplished 3,092.5 hours of training during a 4-year program, and 1,157.5 hours of Clinic hours treating patients. She is trained in Tuina (Asian Body Work), Guasha (scraping like technique), Cupping (Using suction cups for myofascial release), Pediatric Acupressure, Chinese herbalism and Acupuncture. She is a true believer of integrative medicines such as Oriental Medicine and Mexican herbalism. She was born in Mexico City and she is bilingual in Spanish and English. Esmeralda’s favorite modality is Asian Body Work or Tuina because she sees how beneficial it is for all kinds of injuries, pain and stress relief. She has trained her hands to feel the body and to find the right techniques to facilitate healing starting from the first session. She believes Tuina is appropriate and beneficial for people of all ages. Esmeralda likes to go hiking and spend time in Nature. She loves the Sunsets in Arizona with their beautiful Saguaros. She loves to travel back to her home country and visit Archaeological Zones and Indigenous communities to taste delicious traditional foods. Esmeralda enjoys to dance Latin rhythms in her free time.
